THREE NEW HAVEN HOMELESS SHELTERS TO EXTEND HOURS FOR DAYTIME SERVICE

(1/13/2009) NEW HAVEN- As the temperature outside dips into the single digits later this week, three homeless shelters in the City are preparing to remain open during daytime hours to provide a warm place for homeless individuals to seek refuge. The Columbus House shelter is now open day and night while the Immanuel Baptist Shelter will begin offering daytime service tomorrow. The City’s overflow shelter will be open during the day this weekend and as needed throughout the winter months.
